Nature Art & Activity (Nov 2018) - A branch fallen off a tree and spotted during the nature walk has become an arena for sensory explorations, application of fine motor skills, planning ,collaboration, creation, dedication and focus as well as expression of emotions - when children tried to bring back life by adding leaves, fruits , insects 🐜 and lots more.A new group spirit emerges through this experience. Children work on and around the same surface with respect for one another sharing ideas and materials . They learn from the other, replicating and supporting the peer when required.Finding the "lonely" tree branch devoid of any leaves the children decide to decorate it with dry leaves, blocks, fruits and insects .The work space involves the entire school- the branch itself and the area around it, and other work tables where different materials are made available for the children. The children soon adapt to this way of working - moving to the tables to create their theme related activities. With play group giving life to the twigs and making expressions with leaves, explorers trying to give life to the branch , and the K1 making a skeleton system out of natural resources.#Creativityunleashed #lilpallikkoodam #reggioinspiredkinderschool
